What is MobFile.Com ?
MobFile is free web service for hosting files.
How does MobFile.Com work?
It's very easy: You select the file, upload it and write down the code. Then you start your mobile phone / cell phone and enter code in wap.mobfile.com.
Is the service really 100% free?
Yes it is 100% free and there is no registration is needed.
What file types can I upload?
You can upload many file types but please make sure that they are compatible with your mobile phone. Compatible file formats:
- JPG / JPEG : images, photos, pictures, wallpapers, logos
- GIF : images, photos, animations, wallpapers, logos
- MP3 / MID / MIDI / MMF : ringtones, melodies, music files
- JAD / JAR : java games and applications files
- AVI / MPEG / 3GP : videos, music vides
- ZIP / RAR : compressed files
- SIS : symbian games and application files
What file formats are supported by my phone?
This varies from model to model but most phones support image formats like gif and jpg, and sound / music formats like mid and mmf. The newest cell phones support mp3, wav, amr, mmf. The most common video formats supported are avi, rm, mpg, 3gp and similar. Most cellphones are java enabled and support java games and java applications. Many popular Nokia phones do also support Symbian applications (sis files).
What is the maximal file size?
Maximal file size is 5120 KB. Remember that you might not be able to download big files on WAP since some mobile service providers have size limitations in their network. Contact your mobile service provider to find out.
How long are the files available?
The files and the link will be active for 72 hours (3 days) after you upload the file. We have done this so you can use the service to share your favorite files with friends.
What is WAP and do I have wap / GPRS / internet mobile phone / cell phone ?
Most mobile phones are internet enabled and can access the wap internet. You most probably have WAP / GPRS / internet enabled phone because every phone model in past 2 years has it. If you don't have WAP and internet settings installed, call you operator.
